Sports Medicine Academy:
Welcome to the Venice High School Sports Medicine Academy—the flagship Sports Medicine Academy in LAUSD! Our academy is designed for students who are passionate about health sciences, sports medicine, and hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for careers in the medical field.
Students in our academy gain real-world experience working alongside our school’s athletic teams, providing injury prevention, rehabilitation, and sports performance support under the guidance of professionals. Beyond the classroom, our students participate in internships, shadowing opportunities, and industry partnerships with local hospitals, clinics, and athletic organizations.
The Sports Medicine Academy fosters a tight-knit community where students build strong connections, collaborate with peers, and feel supported in their academic and career goals. Through project-based learning, hands-on training, and industry exposure, we ensure our students are not only college-ready but career-ready—equipped with 160+ hours of patient care experience before graduation.

Our students graduate with:
✅ A deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, specifically as it relates to human movement, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. new courses 2026 - 2027

✅ Lifesaving skills, including CPR, first aid, and injury management, while learning how to prevent, assess, and treat sports-related injuries.
