Cross Country

In the course of the last 20 years, Coach Sandoval, Venice Alumni class of 1979 and 2019 CIF LA City Section Cross Country Coach Of The Year, has produced several individual and team champions. Now, Head Coach Gomez, Venice Alumni class of 2015 , will continue the legacy started by Coach Sandoval. Passion, hard work, and commitment in academics and in running are our motto. With academics as one of our main focuses, we help and encourage our student-athletes to achieve their highest potential in the classroom, as well as on the race course. On the Venice High School boys' and girls' cross country teams, we strive to provide a safe, fun, and competitive environment for our student-athletes. New members of our cross country team are immediately welcomed into our caring, loving, and passionate Gondo family. We are more than a team, we are a family. Go Gondos!
