Coach D! (H-SS teacher & running coach)

Hello wonderful Gondolier family, 

 

I am so happy to be teaching in the World Languages and Global Studies Magnet for the 4th year in a row! For the 2025-2026 school year, I teach the classes below:

I am also an assistant coach for Cross Country and Students Run Los Angeles. 🏃🏾🏃🏻‍♀️🏅

 

Prior to teaching at Venice High School:

- 9 years teaching middle school social studies in the greater L.A. area & in my hometown of Mobile, Alabama

- 2 years teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) - Ichihara, Chiba, Japan 

 

Certifications: 

- Bachelor of Science in History & Secondary Education, University of South Alabama (2011)

- Master of Liberal Arts, Arizona State University (2014)

-Alabama Reading Initiative 

- EL authorization (CLAD permit)
