I am a Mexican American whose family is from the beautiful Zacatecas, Mexico.
I majored in Liberal Studies/Arts (to be a teacher) and have specializations in Bilingual Education and Math: BCLAD Multiple Subject credential with a Subject Matter Authorization in Mathematics. I continued my studies and obtained a Masters in Teaching with a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) emphasis from USC. I also hold a Single Subject Credential in Mathematics and am fluent in reading, writing, and speaking in Spanish.
I taught for 16 years at Marina del Middle School before coming to Venice High School. Teaching Math and connecting with students is my passion.
