Teacher Emma (they/them)

Hello! My name is Teacher Emma and I am a Biology and Inclusion Biology teacher here at Venice High School. My students and I spend the year exploring biology from various points of view, and I have my students express their learning in various ways (including art!). 

 

I received my bachelor's degree in Ecology and Evolution and my Master's in Education and Teaching Credential at University of California- Santa Cruz. I have experience in animal behavior research as well as in developing Ethnic Studies pedagogy through UCSC, and I am passionate about both! I bring these ideas, experiences, and passions into the classroom every day.

 

I am a member of the Media Arts and Technology Academy, School Site Committee, and Local School Leadership Committee.
