General & Honors Chemistry 🧪
Hi! I’m Ms. Tirado, and I’m so excited to be starting my fourth year here at Venice High School! My goal is to create hands-on, interactive learning experiences that make science accessible, engaging, and relevant for every student. As a proud team member of our Environmental Justice Academy, I love connecting our chemistry content to real-world environmental issues, sustainability, and community action!
The chemistry courses I will be teaching this 2026 - 2027 year are:
-
General Chemistry: A scaffolded, inquiry-based course covering core chemical concepts, laboratory skills, and real-world problem-solving.
-
Honors Chemistry (Dual Language Cohort): An accelerated, rigorous study of advanced chemical principles designed to support and challenge our Dual Language Spanish immersion students. This course will be taught completely in Spanish.
Beyond the classroom, I love staying active in our Gondolier community!
-
California Scholarship Federation (CSF): As co-advisor, I work alongside our student leaders to foster academic excellence, encourage community service, and fundraise for graduating senior scholarships and regalia. Visit our page for membership requirements and application deadlines.
-
Students Run LA (SRLA): As one of our SRLA leaders, I train alongside our students throughout the year where we are building endurance, resilience, and character as we work toward completing the Los Angeles Marathon! Visit our page for more information on how students can join.
