Equity Lab College Courses

At Venice High School we partner with National Education Equity Lab to offer credit-bearing college courses taught by professors at four-year colleges and universities. These courses are supported by a VHS teacher through discussion and course guidance. For the 2024-2025 school year, students were able to enroll in Essentials in Personal Finance taught by a University of Pennsylvania professor and/or Introduction to Leadership Studies taught by a Howard University professor.

 

For the 2025-2026 school year we are planning to offer in the fall Social Problems taught by a professor at Morehouse College (11th and 12th grade only) and in the spring Introduction to Psychology taught by a Wesleyan University (10th, 11th, and 12th grae). Students interested in taking the course should notify their individual counselor and complete the survey linked here.
